Wellbeing and Mental Health
The World Health Organisation defines good mental health as: “a state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community."
Warwick Road Primary School is committed to supporting the wellbeing and mental health of our whole school community - our pupils, our staff, volunteers, parents and other carers and the wider community.
We have always sought to encourage children to exceed expectations and are committed to providing an environment in which they can do this. However, we do not see out children’s success simply in terms of academic achievement. We aim always to ensure that our children are happy, fulfilled and secure throughout their time with us and beyond.
We work hard to make Warwick Road into a place where:
- Everyone is safe, included and valued.
- We promote positive social and emotional well-being, mental health, resilience and wellness for pupils, staff and our community.
- Everyone believes in themselves, creating relationships that develop them personally, socially and emotionally.
